Ok so you’re telling me that the US government, which houses the most powerful, wealthiest army and the strongest, smartest intelligence agency on earth, can’t even fucking arrest/kill/whatever a small, shabby group of backyard militants with practically no infrastructure and relatively little intelligence? 🤔 any jackass can see something isn’t right here. What if I told you that the army, the CIA and the president are all in cahoots to keep this “armed conflict” from never ending? Al Queda, the Taliban, ISIS, what’s the fucking difference? Some group of non-white non-Christians that we can easily track and allow to gain some power without them doing any actual damage? The US can’t afford to lay off any of its soldiers or cut back on tanks, guns, planes, etc, so it is forced to engage in “armed conflict,” not official wars that need be confirmed by congress, 24/7. Can you tell me a point in our history where the US was not involved in some sort of “armed conflict” or “engaged combat” whatsoever? This is called the military industrial complex. We are forced to keep increasing our military budget annually in order to make money off of these wars. These wars are unnecessary and 90% of the people killed in drone strikes are innocent. I’m calling out the media for letting this happen. You’re supposed to be our watchdog and help us keep the government in check. You’re not reporting authentic stories from the Middle East and it’s fucking bullshit. It doesn’t matter if the story “isn’t sexy” or if it’s “too real” for Americans too know. We trusted you to give us reliable information and you’re hiding things from us. Who can I look to now to keep the government in check if the media isn’t even giving me the resources to do my own research and use my vote as a check?
